Step 3 – Prep Transition Program
Welcoming your child to their first year of school is a significant milestone, and we’re committed to making this transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Our dedicated Prep transition program ensures that both children and parents/carers feel confident and excited about the journey ahead.
We kick off the transition with our Teddy Bear’s Picnic, an enjoyable event where children can meet their future classmates and teachers in a relaxed, playful environment. This event allows children to familiarise themselves with the school setting while having fun with their favourite teddy bears.
Following the picnic, our Step into Prep Days offer a series of engaging, hands-on activities designed to give children a taste of what to expect in Prep. These days are an opportunity for children to explore the classroom, participate in learning activities and build relationships with their new peers.
To support a smooth transition, we pair each new Prep student with a Senior Student Buddy. These buddies, who are enthusiastic and experienced, provide guidance and support, helping newcomers navigate their new environment and settle in comfortably.
We also offer comprehensive School Tours for families These tours give parents/carers and children the chance to explore our facilities, meet our staff, and get acquainted with the school’s routines and resources.
Our goal is to ensure that every child feels welcomed and prepared for their first year of school. Through these initiatives, we strive to create a nurturing and positive start to your child’s educational journey.
